Complete Technical Specifications

IZ-900 Model Details

Material Capacity

Single Layer Film Thickness: 1.0mm to 3.0mm – specifically engineered for heavy-duty geomembrane applications

Outstanding Features and Capabilities

Exceptional Weld Strength

Achieving greater than 95% of base material tensile strength in the shear direction, the IZ-900 creates seams that rival the liner itself in durability and reliability – the gold standard for critical containment applications.

Dual Digital Display System

Advanced digital controls provide simultaneous monitoring of temperature and welding speed, enabling precise parameter management and consistent results across large-scale installations.

Wide Speed Range

Operating from 1 to 7 meters per minute, the IZ-900 adapts to different material types, thicknesses, and project requirements while maintaining optimal weld quality throughout the speed range.

High-Temperature Capability

Heating range from 50°C to 550°C accommodates various geomembrane materials and environmental conditions, ensuring proper heat penetration and molecular bonding regardless of ambient temperature.

Adjustable Welding Pressure

Pressure adjustment from 100N to 1000N allows optimization for different material thicknesses and types, preventing material damage while ensuring adequate compression for strong seam formation.

Generous Overlap Width

The 12cm overlap width with dual 16mm weld seams separated by a 12mm cavity creates robust lap joints with exceptional integrity and the ability to perform quality testing in the cavity area.

Professional Construction

At 13.0kg with integrated casters, the IZ-900 provides the stability needed for consistent welding while remaining maneuverable for repositioning across large installation sites.

Critical Pressure Adjustment Procedures

Understanding Pressure Settings

Correct pressure adjustment is essential for achieving high-quality welding results while providing sufficient traction for driving wheels. Improper pressure can cause the machine to lose traction, burn through film material, or create weak seams.

Pressure Adjustment Steps

1. Initial Setup Rotate the pressure adjustment nut (9) clockwise several turns, lift the pressure arm, and prepare for adjustment sequence.

2. Zeroing Procedure Place one layer of material (about 3cm) between driving wheels. Press pressure rod down – material should move without resistance. Rotate nut counterclockwise until upper drive wheel contacts material and cannot turn by hand. This establishes the zero point.

3. Final Pressure Setting Lift pressure arm, rotate counterclockwise one full turn. Place folded material (two layers thickness) between drive wheels, press down, and test drag resistance. If material can be pulled out, loosen drive wheel and turn adjusting nut counterclockwise by one-third turn.

Special Considerations for Thin Materials

Thin materials require less pressure. Excessive pressure causes material fracture from weld edge due to shear effects. Always start with lower pressure and increase gradually as needed.

Heating Plate Position

Set heating plate tip distance slightly larger than film thickness when pressure arm is fully down. Too close causes pressure wheel to clamp heating plate, reducing welding pressure and potentially damaging equipment.

Comprehensive Operating Procedures

1. Power Connection and Setup

Connect power supply, lift pressure handle upward to separate pressure wheels, ensuring safe material loading position.

2. System Initialization

Turn on power switch – LCD screen displays initial state with hot wedge not yet heating. Press temperature button to initiate heating cycle until actual temperature equals set temperature.

3. Motor Activation

Turn on motor switch and set required welding speed through speed buttons. Important: Keep motor running when welding machine is powered to avoid drive wheel overheating at specific positions, which causes starting difficulties.

4. Material Loading

Position welding machine at starting point. Remove upper layer of film to expose lower layer. Insert lower layer between lower guide wheel and bottom of hot wedge, reaching the driving wheel.

5. Complete Material Positioning

Move welding machine back and forth while placing upper layer material between upper guide wheel and hot wedge top, reaching the driving wheel. Ensure both layers are properly positioned.

6. Welding Activation

Press pressure handle to engage pressure wheel and hot wedge, starting automatic welding. If driving wheel clamps and burns material, quickly open pressure arm and push machine forward about 10cm to leave overheated area before pressing pressure arm again.

7. Quality Monitoring

Continuously observe welding marks on film material and position of upper and lower layers. Adjust immediately if deviation occurs. Handle any foreign objects or material sinking issues before they affect weld quality.

8. T-Joint Welding

When creating T-shaped overlap with already-welded material, cut overlapping head on hot wedge side tight against weld mark. Length should equal machine’s overlap width.

9. Welding Completion

Lift pressure handle upward to reset pressure wheel and hot wedge. Move machine away from welding position.

10. Proper Shutdown

Turn off motor switch. Press temperature buttons simultaneously or press temperature minus button to “OFF” to stop hot wedge heating. Turn off power switch.
